The Triolet is the largest climbing rucksack in our range, built for those who require an exceptionally durable sack for the high mountains or for longer trips.
Reintroduced to the range with a refined 46-litre capacity, the Triolet is designed to excel during the long, arduous walk-ins that precede a big route. We’ve equipped it with a substantial padded hip belt to ensure that even when loaded with a full rack and ropes, the weight is transferred effectively. This makes it as capable and comfortable a walking sack as it is a climbing one.
Standard Version: Constructed in our Staveley workshop from 1000D texturised nylon, the Triolet is built to withstand the abrasive reality of heavy use in the harshest environments. We’ve avoided the clutter of modern “lifestyle” features, focusing instead on a single-compartment design that prioritises ease of packing and long-term reliability. Whether it’s a long day on Ben Nevis or a technical Alpine ascent, the Triolet provides a dependable, functional sac that’s ready for anything.
Lightweight Version: The Triolet LW is made in a single layer of 420D nylon to cut weight. Stripped of wand pockets, ice axe loops, and side compression straps in favour of attachment points, it is the perfect choice for the climber who needs the capacity for a winter bivvy but wants to keep the overall weight to an absolute minimum for the ascent. Have a read on our advice pages about lightweight sacks.
Extendable Option (46+10ltr): For those carrying significant loads or embarking on multi-day expeditions, we offer an extendable version of the Triolet. This model features an extendable lid for an additional 10 litres of capacity and an internal aluminium backstay. The stay provides extra rigidity to help manage the weight of expedition gear, ensuring the sack remains stable and comfortable when pushed to its limits.

Choosing Your Colours:
We take pride in the fact that our equipment is made to order right here in Staveley. Because we build each sack individually, you have the opportunity to choose a colour scheme that suits you. Colours here.
Standard (1000D) Range: Your chosen colour will be applied to the side panels of the rucksack, creating a classic two-tone look against the black front, wand pockets and lid. Back panels and shoulder straps all in black.
Lightweight (420D) Range: Your chosen colour will be used for the entire main body of the sack. Back panels and shoulder straps all in black.
Bespoke Options & Customisation
While we offer a selection of core colours, other options and custom combinations are often available. If you have a specific requirement, or if you have any questions regarding back lengths or features, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at the workshop. We are always happy to discuss your kit and ensure you get the right sack for your needs.
