Aighuille Alpine

Winter 2008/9

We hope you are all making the most of this winter with some fantastic snow and ice in the mountains and plenty of water in the becks...the only ones missing out seem to be the windsurfers-hardly any wind and so cold. It has made me get out paddling and climbing more though and the shop here in Staveley has been doing great, so thanks for all your support for the last year and a half of being open.

New Canoes

We can now also get any of the MOHAWK range of canoes to order and have a SOLO 13 available for trial (when I'm not paddling it myself!). It's incredibly light and we now make the buoyancy blocks to fit these too.

We are also working on a new design for a touring boat that I hope to get available for production by easter. It will be a glass composite hull (14'10" by 32" with lots of v,tumblehome and slight rocker)and have all the beautiful timber fitout that was so popular with previous boats...more news as it progresses!

Trekking poles

It's a fact!Trekking poles are proven to reduce fatigue and save your knees from strain and abuse.
They will also aid balance and stability on steep ground.


We now stock the MOUNTAIN KING range of trekking poles which are a much higher quality than any we have stocked previously...so if you want a light, strong and reliable piece of kit, these are great.

We now have a new shop under our production floor in Stavely Mill Yard...for those of you that have yet to find us that's near Wilf's.Shop products are gradually being built up,so you can see a selection of our product range and the fantastic new Evergreen Canoes have arrived for the first time in this country.We look forward to meeting you in person!
